The 17-colour serigraph “MMK II” was inspired by the work of the artist Günther Förg (1952-2013). In 1991, he created murals in the form of colour-intensive, monochrome surfaces in the stairwell of the Frankfurt Museum of Modern Art.
In this screen print, the bright colours are set in relation to architectural elements of the museum, which in turn intensify the luminosity of the colour fields.
