Off the grid IV

You may not see it in all of our work, but we love design grids! In the layout of posters, books, magazines, etc. module grids serve to divide the “composition” sensibly, to guide the eye skillfully and at best subtly bring a certain sophistication and clarity into play: Module grids are a system of order, mostly invisible but perceptible.
In our designs there is no content but only the modules themselves – the first designs were still strictly subordinated to a symmetrical principle, but playing around with disturbing factors and generally replacing the actual rhythm with a completely new one was then most exciting.
